Impact of cyclones decreased in Madagascar
Madagascar is hit by cyclones every year. This violence caused by nature especially damages the east coast. There the cyclones hit the land. Cyclones and all of the accompanying rains and floods cause a lot of problems. With EU-/emergency aid financing ICCO partner SAF/FJKM tries to improve the situation.
Decentralisation and good local governance in Madagascar
The government in Madagascar has set up the Plan d'action pour le Madagascar 2007-2010 to be accountable to its citizens. Other focal points are lessening corruption and improving public service. Decentralisation is an important part of the plan.
